FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Who can I sponsor?
Spouses, common-law and conjugal partners, dependent children, parents and grandparents (PGP lottery or Super Visa), and in limited cases other relatives.
What is the income requirement?
Spousal sponsorship has no minimum income requirement. Parents/grandparents and Super Visa applications must meet the MNI for the last 3 years.
In-Canada or overseas sponsorship — which is better?
In-Canada offers an open work permit for the sponsored spouse but restricts travel; overseas is often faster to process. We recommend the right stream case-by-case.
