Who qualifies for ICT?
Executives, senior managers or specialized-knowledge staff who have worked at least 12 of the last 36 months full-time at the foreign parent company.
What kind of Canadian entity do I need?
A federally or provincially incorporated branch, subsidiary or affiliate with a real business plan, funding, premises and hiring plan for Canadian staff.
How long is the initial work permit?
Typically one year for a start-up ICT, renewable up to seven years for executives and managers and up to five years for specialized-knowledge workers.
