FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a designated organization?
An IRCC-approved venture-capital fund, angel-investor group or business incubator that issues you a Letter of Support after reviewing your business plan.
How long does the SUV take?
Processing runs 30–40 months. TIA can request a supporting work permit so you can move to Canada and build the business while PR is finalized.
Do I need to invest my own capital?
The designated organization commits the funds (VC ≥ CAD 200k, angel ≥ CAD 75k, incubator acceptance with no minimum). You still need settlement funds for the family.
